Fashion for Reparations.

A powerful, community-driven initiative that reclaims fashion as a tool for justice. Pay what you want. No one turned away.

Pay What You Want Mutual Aid Economic Justice Community Led
Fashion as a Tool for Justice.

Fashion for Reparations is a mutual aid, pay-what-you-want clothing store. They collect clothes from the community and offer them back at whatever price people want to pay. No one is turned away for lack of funds.

The project started in 2020 as a way to help a queer Black mom of three and DV survivor pay her rent each month. Now, as the project finds a home at Cherry Street Village, F4R also contributes funds to this community hub, as well as to local direct aid, mutual aid projects with boots on the ground, and support for local organizing efforts.

In addition to selling clothes at their Cherry Street Village location, F4R also provides clothes for mutual aid projects in Seattle and works with local artists who repurpose excess clothes in creative ways. Reach out to talk about having F4R at your event or sourcing material for your next project.
